The ACTA 2008 Spring Meeting will be held in the world famous London Zoo. The program incorporates diverse topics which appeal to a broad spectrum of interests. The theme of the meeting is “New Paradigms” and international speakers cover subjects ranging from ground level at the Department of Health to the top of Mount Everest!
The fabulous surroundings of the London Zoo will provide an exotic background to the meeting. In the evening there is a complimentary champagne and canapes reception open to all in the zoo itself, followed by a Gala Dinner overlooking the wildlife.
Speakers include Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, Professor George Shorten, Professor Philippe Bonhoeffer, Professor Marc de Leval, Dr Mike Grocott & Dr Sue Wright. Topics include new paradigms in health care (is the NHS falling apart?), new paradigms in percutaneous valve technology, surgical performance, lessons on hypoxia from Mount Everest and a novel virtual reality echo heart simulator.
We hope that this combination of academic and social content will tempt you to spend a mini spring break in one of the worlds greatest cities.
