As the program finishes, the evening entertainment begins....

complimentary champagne reception in the zoo

When the daytime program finishes you will wait while the zoo is cleared of the public. Then you will be led by zoo staff to an exclusive private drinks reception in two of the zoo animal houses. Complimentary sparkling wine or soft drinks and canapes will be served. In addition there will be a cash bar for other drinks.

The Biodiversity house (BUGS!) and the Lions terraces are adjacent and guests can move from one to the other. They both have large outdoor terraces overlooking the wildlife and with beautiful views of Regents Park.

The Biodiversity House has interactive exhibits on ecology, biosystems, insects, small species and fish. The Lions terrace is a beautiful outside space overlooking the lions and tigers enclosures. This will be a wonderful opportunity to socialise with friends and colleagues in a unique setting. The reception is COMPLETELY FREE! After one and a half hours of the reception, either go on to your own evening out or stay on for the gala dinner.

Following the reception there will be a gala dinner in the Mappin House within the zoo. You will be escorted by zoo staff from the reception area to the dinner. The Mappin House is a beautiful classically decorated Grade II listed building next to Bear (not Bayer!) Mountain. With floor to ceiling windows this stunning room overlooks Regent’s Park, the bears and the Komodo dragon house. One curved wall of the Room is composed completely of glass (folding opening) doors looking out onto the mountain. Outside there is a large terrace overlooking the mountain for pre and post dinner socialising. It is a unique and wonderful venue. The evening will comprise a three course dinner, together with discreet entertainment. The evening will finish at 12 midnight. Dinner reservations ARE LIMITED TO 90 GUESTS. So book early or with your registration to ensure a place. Because of the unique venue we anticipate full booking and we will not be able to provide places once the first 90 applications have been received.
