The venue for the London Spring Meeting is the world famous London Zoo.

the day

The 200 seat lecture theatre is in the Royal ZoologicaHuxley theatrel Society on the north side of the zoo (the zoo straddles both sides of the Regents Park Outer Circle with an underground connecting tunnel). The refurbished audiovisual system is up to date with facilities for dual projection, sound and videos etc.

Buffet lunch is provided in the foyer or can be provided in a take-away bag to stroll around the zoo.

Parking for 200 cars. Let us know if you wish to park, as registrants pay full day rate of only £11 . You can leave your car overnight if you wish - as long as you collect it by 8 am.

the evening

The evening reception is in two animal locations - Biodiversity house and the Lions Terrace. This will be a memorable and unique occasion to socialise withBiodiversity terrace friends and colleagues. Biodiversity House has interactive exhibits on ecology, biosystems, insects, small mammals and fish.

Lions terrace is a beautiful outside space overlooking the lions and tigers enclosures with beautiful views of Regents Park. Both areas have large terraces which provide entertainment space with great views. There will be a cash bar in addition to your complimentary half bottle of sparkling wine. The reception is followed by a gala dinner in the Mappin Room. Bear MountainA beautiful classically decorated Grade II listed building next to Bear Mountain. With floor to ceiling windows this stunning room overlooks Regent’s Park, the bears and the Komodo dragon house. One curved wall of the Room is composed completely of glass (folding opening) doors looking out onto Bear mountain. Outside there is a large terrace overlooking the mountain for pre and post dinner socialising. It is a unique and wonderful venue.
